Documentation Tool not available in Create New Content

I wasn't really sure where to put this, but I was trying to create a new activity based on the "Documentation Tool" and if I go into My Account on this website and choose Create New Content, this tool doesn't show up as one of the choices under Select Content Type.

Fortunately I am just BRILLIANT (that's sarcasm there) and I was able to go to the Examples and Downloads page and clone the content from there.

Just thought I should let someone know about this!

That's a clever workaround! To spare new authors from too much confusion some of the content types aren't "unlocked" by default. I've now granted you access to all of the content types so you should be able to see them when creating new content :-)

I love the Documentation Tool, it's an excellent activity, but our staff needs this as an option within the 'Create' options - it's too much to ask them go through a 'download workaround'.

Not sure if it's a temporary error, or if the option has never been there. ;-(

You should have access now. They are disabled by default to avoid new users getting confused.

Hi jan.widmayer,

To provide a best possible experience for new users and to ensure that people use H5P.org only for trying out H5P (we've had more traffic than our server can handle lately, ref also the warnings when you create content, embed content and view the content) there are limited content types that are available.

Check the getting started page for information on how you can use all the content types and use H5P for real. We unfortunately are not able to provide free hosting, only free software :) Hopefully you'll consider supporting the H5P Core Team by using H5P.com.
