I had hoped this was released a long time ago, but I haven't found the time. The development is mainly done as a "hobby-project".

It will be released at some point, but I honestly don't know when.

Dear fnoks,

this is a really promising content type.. that guides the process of think and steps in lesson in k-12 .. please let us know how we could help.. I am no programer but this is too good to let pass or fall behind helps student expand learning and knowledge with guiding them through the learning process which is amazing...

Cheers,

* really hoping to see this content released in the near future or at least have some time added to it..

Dear Fnoks

Is there a way to contribute (a few hours) to the development of the mini course content type.... I am really excited about this content type and think it will be a great addition to the content types.. could you imagine the use of this content type to make units it is amazing.. not only that it is self-guiding for the learner which means it can actually be differentiated which mean one a lesson is marked then based on the results a student could go to different activities.. so kind of a higher differentiated lessons based on abilities..

In the current state, I think it is hard to put other developer-resources into this. I am in the middle of a refactoring of the current code.

I agree this will be a good addition to the content types already existing! Only need to find some time to get it finished :)

Glad we feel the same.

Looking forward to testing it when it is ready.

Cheers,

Hi Fnoks,

Is there any possible updates for this content type.

Please advice.

Unfortunately not. When it is released, it will be mentioned in the H5P newsletter!

Thank you for the reply fnoks, I was only wondering if there is away to contribute to this...

Hi fnoks,

is there anything we can do as a community to help in the development of the minicourse content type...

cheers

Unfortunately, I don't think so. At least not in the current state, where I am in the middle of a refactor of the code.

Hi Fnoks,

Warm Greetings! hope all is going well.. any updates on the mini course refactoring, would love to have this for the start of this academic year. All the best we appreciate all the innovation contributed by h5p to our classrooms.

Hi farrisimin,

No updates yet. The core team has been busy lately and lacks the time to work on their side projects.

Hi fnoks,

Hope all is well and you are staying safe!! As we are practicing safe distancing and schools being closed. We had to move teaching and learning to virtual enviroment. Today I watched a video of you in melbourne presenting the mini-course and talked about how the arrangement of the lessons could appear for the end user. You had grid, linear and something else displays.. I would like to suggest gamifiying the mini course a little more (my focuse is k-12 as you know) ... we had a great content type long ago game board.. it was quite diffcult to create games..

So my suggestion is to add a back ground image allow free snap-in-place of the lessons although they are still linear that way enduser will move one step at a time (i believe this is essential as students need to count before they add).. also the rounded squarish lesson looks amazing in ipad and laptop view.... in mobile device it would easier to only show title and start button..  this is an epic content type.. It will be mighty fun to learn.... I understand how busy the core team is and appreciate all the efforts you put into h5p!!!

Soon in h5p under conten types .. we will need a new tab for units/courses (multicontent type) which will include: Interactive book, course presentation, accordian, branching scenario, column and off course mini course..

Cheers,

apologies I was so excited forgot to attach image

Hi Farrisimin,

Sorry no updates on this yet. You can check the Github repo for the content type for any updates as well as the Release Overview page for any updates not only for this content type.

Hi BV52 and fnoks and the whole h5p community!!

Another really cool idea to implement with the mini course content is the end of course certificate.. specially for students in k-12 this will empower and engage the learner.. I have personally used drupal to complete this in the past using h5p along side with certify modules.. I am think if this is implement it as part of the mini course it will be universial I understand that it requires a lot of work to implement.. it is amazing work that you are all doing and it is really appreciated..

Cheers
