import wordlist for flashcards

Is it possible to import a list of english verbs + translation at once, so that I don't have to type them one by one?

Supporter votes Members of the Supporter Network can vote for feature requests. When the supporter network has generated sufficient funding for the top voted feature request it will normally be implemented and released. More about the H5P Supporter Network

Hi Gijs,

I'm afraid this is not possible as of the moment. But I would say your idea is very simple but efficient way of creating this content. Thanks a lot for contributing your ideas on how to make H5P better! We’re now working on something called the H5P supporter program allowing the H5P community to vote for and fund the top voted H5P features. Also there are developers in the community who every now and then works on a feature they find interesting or useful.

Thanks for explaining this to me. It would seem to be a very helpful way of not only using H5P because of its feel and functionallity but also for its efficienty. As a teacher I love embedding H5P quizes into my site. Bulk import is a must to make sure you get the amount of content needed to be relevant and worthy of my students time.

Have a great day

Any news on that issue? Without bulk import option the usage of H5P is quit limited.

Hi Maruschewski,

I'm afraid no one has created this feature yet. The good thing about H5P is that it is open sourced so you or anyone else can make the changes.

Hi!

See this discussion: https://h5p.org/node/242310

The authoring tool should process/parse tabular data to automatically generate long lists of the same things

I worked on a way of creating flash cards and other content types from a question bank that could be used to do this. I made some customization on my  Moodle site https://moodle.openlearner.org that are able to export Moodle short answer questions  in a category to H5P content types.  Questions can can be created by importing questions in any of the formats supported by Moodle including some plain text formats. You can create an account there if you want to experiment with it or help with testing.

That's amazing, dthies. Impressive. I use H5P on a wordpress site: meestergijs.nl. I need such a thing for Wordpress, so I don't know if it's useful for me.

Since H5P is portable, you can create the content on my site, download it, and add it to your wordpress site or h5p.com etc. As long as you can provide your content in a format that can be imported (GIFT works easy for definitions), you should not have any trouble doing this. I would be happy, if you can try it and give me some feedback on the process.

I am not really familiar with wordpress quiz or glossary functions so I am not sure how whether it is feasible to create a plugin for that platform. Are your definitions used in any wordpress activities currently from which they could be exported?
