Interactive video on mobile devices

Hi,
I heavily use the Interactive video module on a site. 90% of my traffic comes from mobile devices. I'm currently on library version 1.17.5 and am wondering if in newer version of the library there are any improvements on mobile U/X.
Or does anyone have a tips on how to improve the experience on mobile. The issue is of course the limited screen space that we have on mobile.
Thanks

Hi bez.lashkari,
Afaik there are no new updates to IV in terms of U/X.
Do you have any specific suggestions on how IV can be improved for mobile devices. Some screenshots would also go a long way.

Hi,
The main thing is a bit of a bug on IOS devices Safari and Chrome but it's worse in Chrome.
On a H5P interactive video, if you go fullscreen when on portrait view and then turn your phone to landscape it doesn't nicely snap into view. This is causing a bit of an issue for our users.
Thanks

Update on iOS display issue
Hi BV52
Thanks for assisting Bez so far. Are there any updates to the ticket raised in JIRA? This issue is compromising the experience on mobile for users on IOS and traffic on most sites are is now mostly mobile. So finding a solution to this is really important for a number of our clients websites. Do you know at this point it's an H5P issue or something that iOS is doing that we cannot influence?

Hi Jack,
I do not have any updates on this yet. For your other question it's a little bit of both iOS handles full screen mode differently compared to other OS's on mobile devices or computers and the H5P core team would need to add the code to adjust to this.

Hi BV52
Thanks for the quick response. Do you have any indication of priority that this update has in your roadmap up ahead? I ask as if we can't find a quick solution, one of our clients will drop H5P, and we may not be able to use this for learning platforms in the near future. Feedback from multiple focus groups is that users do not like using H5P when the browser is visible, and the obvious issue for some iPhone users is that in full screen it's unusable (see screenshot). 50% of people experienced this issue from our tests.
Thanks
Jack

Hi Jack,
This is currently at "medium" priority and will be handled as soon as higher priority bugs have been fixed. I've placed a note on the ticket that we have additional users needing a fix for the issue.

Update
Hi BV52,
I am assessing the use of your interactive video for a client, using your examples https://h5p.org/interactive-video - it works wondewrfully on desktop and laptop's but still seems to have the bug from 2019 - could you provide an update on when this might be resolved, or is there a more appropriate solution for students using mobile devices?
Thanks Bill
