Interactive Course - Allow users to upload a file

Miki's picture

Hello,

Interactive Course module was great so far, really nice job!

However I wanted to ask if there is a way for a user to upload a PDF trough the course as a response to particular questions?
Basicaly I would like if there is a possiblity to add an upload function to Ineractive Courses or as a module which than can be used other than only in Interactive Course. This feature will upload PDF, Word files, etc.

Let me know if this is something managable and usable to you? :)

Best regards,

Hi,

There is currently no way to upload PDFs or other text files to any content type. It should be possible to add this feature to any content type though with some work. How do you imagine using a PDF upload option, can you give some compelling use-cases where this is needed and how this should look/interact ?

Hi I landed here b/c I'm seeking to add a .pdf to an annotated video. It is a negotiation and the attached document will outline negotiation strategies appropriate to what the student has just seen.

Please let me know if this feature is available.

thanks!

Hi E!

No, that's not possible.

Best,

Oliver

Can you please explore the option to add a new h5p activity to upload documents?

We all really need it

Hi AllianzEnergy,

I'm afraid there are no immediate plans from the H5P core team to add this feature and AFAIK no one from the community is developing it. The good thing about H5P is that it is open source so anyone can add this feature or (crowd) fund its development.

Draw Attention (Wordpress Plugin) has made this a feature already, you should offer it as well.

You can link to another page, post, product, or more. You can link to other websites and choose to open the link in a new window or in the same window. You can also link to documents, forms, photos, and downloadable files.

I also think this would be a very interesting feature to add to the interactive book.
For example, I want my students to read a text (pdf or word) and then I ask questions. It would also be good if there was a possibility for them to download the inserted pdf or word.
Now I can't use the interactive book, just because this feature is not available yet.
I'll have to use canvas, and then add all the questions, images, interactive video's. It would be fun to make this in an interactive book.
