H5P content not visible with Public canvas shell

I am trying to work on a solution for our customer. They want a shell in Canvas to be publicly visible with the ability to download H5P content. However, when the canvas shell is public, no one can see the H5P content. "ERROR - The sub field is required. If the problem persists try contacting support"

Hi AvishRao,

Where are the contents hosted? If they are hosted in H5P.com make sure that the content is also set as "Public". The download/reuse button is enabled by default in H5P.com. If this has been changed you just need to enable it. This guide provides more details on how to download contents.

The content is in Canvas. In the pages section of a course. That course has been made available to public but the H5P content is not visible

the Content is in canvas under pages.

The course in canvas is made public so that the external party can access it without login and download H5P course content. However, since the course is made public, the H5P content is not loading.
we need to find out how we can make it public as well.

Hi AvishRao,

Did you try the steps I suggested above? Additionally, can you please confirm where you are hosting your contents? Is it H5P.com?

Did this get resolved as I have the same problem? Thanks for any help. Both Canvas and H5P are published.

Hi R_Clark,

Where are you hosting the contents? Do you have a screenshot of the issue? Can you please share a link to the page?

Hi BV

Sorry for my delay in responding. The content is on Canvas.

Thank you for any insights or help you may have.

Kind regards

Robyn (Brisbane, Australia).

Maybe it helps if you ask "How do you add your contents to Canvas?" - it's probably not obvious that contents are likely to in fact be hosted on H5P.com and just embedded in Canvas using LTI.

Thanks for your reply. You are correct. The content is hosted in H5P and has been embedded into a Canvas course. My problem is that on Canvas (public view), the H5P content is not visible (as per screen shots in previous post). The Canvas course and the H5P diagrams are both set to public.

My reply was meant for BV. Sorry, I am not affilated with H5P Group and can't help you with your H5P.com specific question.
