Is it best to use a video file or a link to streaming service for H5P interactive videos?

Hi,

My question is in the title of this post and I’m interested to know if there is a recommended way for adding video to the interactive video content type. I’m unsure of how HTML5 video works in H5P – e.g. progressive download, pseudo streaming? If uploaded, will a video file need to be downloaded before it can be played back or seeked in the H5P player?

Hi all,

We request voice input recognition to allow users of h5p interactive videos to verbally answer true/false questions and multiple choice questions while completing an interactive video activity.  This would require a feature such as Speak the Words to be implemented as one of the options of interactions that can be added to a video.

Voice input recognition would allow for content features such as simulated conversations in world language classrooms and other disciplines in which interpersonal communication skills are taught.

Grading of an interactive video in Moodle

I have some questions about how interactive videos are scored in Moodle:

  • If the student changes a response or watches the video again, are the grades re-recorded? Do their previous answers stay recorded if they re-watch the video? Can they look at the questions again for practice?
  • If the number of points in the presentation exceeds the "maximum grade" setting, what is recorded?
