Interactive Video

myMediaSite video not passing interaction grades to D2L gradebook

I have a prof who created two interactive video activities - one of which works fine.

LTI settings are set to "Best Attempt".

The first one uses an embedded YouTube video. The grades from the interactions pass fine to the D2L grade centre.

The second one uses an uploaded mp4 video that was created using myMediaSite. The grades for the interactive activities do not pass the the Gradebook. Nor, does the Reports page appear.

Any idea why this may be the case?

It is already possible to use Peertube video in the interactive video activity, but you have to use the download url of the video and not the url of the peertube video page so teacher might thinks they can't use peertube video.

I started working on a way to handle it better and was able to get something functionnal but not sure if it's the best way to do it as it's a little dirty (by editing a variable that should be read only).

(if he clicks inspect on an element or F12 an error screen shows up).

This is the initial screen -
