Find the Hotspot / Multiple Hotspots

nagi's picture

Hi.

Your find the hotspot plugin allows content creator to define multiple hotspots some of them correct and other are wrong answers.

From the user point of view, what is happeing now is that whenever he finds a correct hotspot, the exercice will terminate and he will get the point.

What should happen in that the user must be able to continue to find the hotspots until he gets all the correct ones.

Then he will be graded 1 point for each correct answer and -1 point for each wrong one.

No need to ad a check answer button as the plugin will automaticlly stop and give the score when all the right hotspots are found.

In the question, the content creator could, if he wants to make an easy question, specify the number of correct answers.

Hi nagi,

Currently multiple hotspots will let you set the number of hotspots that needs to be found to complete the activity (you can try my test content here). Although it does not let you set negative scores for incorrect "spots".

Hi BV,

Maybe my request was not precise enought as I was refering to Mumtiple hotspot whitin COLUMN.

When it was first introduced in the column, it was a single hotspot only and it was called find the Hotspot. Later, after an update, it was possible to define multiple hotspots within the column.

The problem is that even if you define multiple hotspots within the column the plugin will not work like in your example and it will stop directly after fiding the 1st correct hotspot.

Concerning the score, it is very important to enable negative scoring for wrong answers as otherwise you cannot diferenciate between  studens as all will score the same even if one made no mistakes and the other made plenty.

Hi nagi,

Thank you for clarifying this. I gues multiple hotspot (my example) needs to be included in Column with some revisions on how it handles the scoring.
