memory game with text instead of images

Hello
I would like to use TEXT instead of images in the memory game.
I think that would be very useful in memory games for foreign languages where there are two corresponding memory-cards with the same word in two different languages.
At the moment you have to create images with the words for achieving this. It would be much easier, if you could choose between an image or a text.
Even better would be the option to choose an image AND a text (shown underneath the image).
Thank you!

Hi Léo,
Thanks a lot for contributing your ideas on how to make H5P better! We’re now working on something called the H5P supporter program allowing the H5P community to vote for and fund the top voted H5P features. Also there are developers in the community who every now and then works on a feature they find interesting or useful.

Great idea!
I would like to see this option too. Combining text and image. For example turning around a card with the text sheep on it. The player has to find a picture with a sheep on it for a match. Good for the learning and memorising. Would make this content type very powerful. Right now i make the text into a picture myself. This is very time comsuming.
Also, what about adding memory to question set. Small games would be great as reward at the end of a question set.
Greetings,

This would be very useful.
If a person doesn't upload an image, the game could default to the "alternative text". That way you could load an image, and use the matching image alternative text area, or vice-versa.

Hi leopittoni,
I'm afriad no one has picked up the project yet. The good thing about H5P is that it is open source so you or anyone in the community can add the feature or (crowd) fund its development.

Hey,
I found a workaround, that would might work for you as well.
I used PowerPoint, created a slide, where I wrote the first word (using bold, fond size 138) .
Then I duplicated that slide as often as I need for all the words and changed the words.
At the end i saved my presentation as an .jpeg. PowerPoint asks you, whether you want to save only the actual slide or all of your slides as jpegs.
Choose the second and you get for example 20 different .jpegs, named Slide 1, Slide 2...
Now you can insert in the memory game your pictures and the matching slide with the word.
Not the easiest, but also not a really complicated way. :)

Workaround generates images of text for Memory Game
I have created a demo Google Sheet to allow users to generate images to use in the H5P Memory Game. It's not perfect but give it a try (maybe not all at the same time). Choose your languages from the dropdowns. Then type vocabulary items into the green area. A translated version will appear in the red area. You can generate 5 X 2 images at a time. To download an image, float over the textbox and click the 3 dots at the top right. Choose "Download - PNG". Also, I am not able to lock down boxes where the words appear so please don't move them around.
