In this content type, the author defines a series of questions with alternatives, where each alternative is matched against one or more personalities. At the end of the quiz, the end user will see which personality matches the best. There are several ways of making this quiz visually appealing, by eg. representing questions, alternatives, and personalities using images.

I wanted to use this as an activity in one of my courses in Canvas and it isn't showing up. Typically copying the embed code works. It did not for this. Any suggestions on how to get it to work?

Number limit on Personality Types?

Just curious, I tried this out, and I was entering all my personality types, but found after entering 3/4 of them it would not allow me to add any more. Is this a known issue?

This is something you see in the authoring tool, right? According to the semantics of the content type, there is a limit of 10 personalities.

Calculation of personality type

Great tool! Can I confirm how the personality type is decided - is it purely based on the personality type that is chosen in the highest total in the associated answers? I cannot see any scoring mechanism, so am assuming it's purely based on the highest frequency. THanks for confirming.

Links in Result Page

Hey there, I am using this with Wordpress and really like it.

I would like to use it to find out more about the Level of knowledge of the reader.
In the result page I would like to show ressources for further education depending on the "personality Type"
How can I add Links, Content, Pictures to the result page?

In Wordpress I only see a plain-text field without editor... adding HTML Links didn´t work either.

This is not possible at the moment, as far as I can tell.
You would have to create a pull request for it or create a feature request post in the forums for this new functionality.

Results for personality quiz?

This is a really great content type! However, on my Wordpress installation, I'm not getting any results saved. Does anyone else have this issue? Other content types are saving their results on my site with no problems.

The Personality Quiz is an

The Personality Quiz is an LRS dependent content type, which means that you have to connect an LRS like Grassblade or Watershed to be able to track its responses. This is because it does not have any numeric results like the other content types. It's more of a survey/poll type of tool.

There should be an option under H5P Settings to disable/hide content types that require a Learning Record Store to function properly.

I actually don't think personality quiz is LRS dependent. It is designed to show the user what personality he has, not to store it afterwards. It isn't xAPI enabled yet :/

Store Personality Type results

After completing the personality quiz (on drupal), the result was shown on screen. However, I did not get the info on the RESULT tab. Is there a way to store the results after the quiz is done. Thanks!

Unfortunately, there is no support for that in the current version of Personality Quiz.

If you do, however, have JavaScript knowledge, feel free to try and add support and create a pull request for it.

Where to download the personality quiz package

Drupal 7: I installed all neccessary modules, uploaded the official H5P release (https://h5p.org/sites/default/files/official-h5p-release-20170120.h5p), but the personality quiz content type is missing in the list. it is possible to download it separately as h5p-archive? greetz!

Personality quiz - "split decisions"

What happens if the answers are evenly split between two personalities? It seems from trials I have done that in those circumstances the quiz picks on the latest answer of those submitted as being the outcome rather than saying you are a "split personality"

Similarly how are answers counted when multiple personality types are assigned to questions?

I guess that the point of any personality quiz is to let the user end up at a single personality. I've never seen any of these, where you are given more then one result.

I found a clever way to have an "no majority" answer

First you create your "no majority" personnality. And then you create all your real personnalities.
For example, lets name the no majority : UNSURE
And the personnalities : BLUE, RED and YELLOW
Then in your first question you include the no majority personnalities at the begining of each answer before the real one.
What fruit do you like ?
Blueberries → UNSURE, BLUE
Rasberries → UNSURE, RED
Bananas → UNSURE, YELLOW
All the following questions will be normal. Simply put the personnality of each answer as usual.
What is your favorite toy ?
Yellow submarine → YELLOW
Fire Truck → RED
Rubber whale → BLUE
ET VOILA! Now if there is no majority, since it resorts to the first personnality that was chosen in the first question, it will resort to UNSURE no matter what they answered.

If you plan on using only one question as the basis for the personality this is possible and the others will act as a decoy this is possible. The question that will be used will have personalities in the answer field and for the other questions you can place a comma in the personalities. Would be of a great help if someone could tell me how a teacher can see the result of a personality test taken by the student using H5P Persnality test feature in Moodle. Also, where are the answers as marked by the student to the personality questions getting saved in the moodle database?

Unfortunately, this is not possible at all. Personality Quiz was contributed by a student company quite some time ago. Back then, storing data in the moodle gradebook was not yet a feature AFAIR. Someone would have to update the code which is openly available. Maybe someone in the H5P community is interested in picking up that job?

I'm afraid this is not possible not unless you make changes to the code. If you have coding experience or have access to developer this documentation is a good palce to start.

Furthermore you can also post a request in Feature Request forum. In order for your feature request to attract as much interest as possible make sure it follows the below guidelines:

It is clear from every perspective how the feature will work. We recommend describing the feature with one or more user stories, for instance “As an author I want it to be possible to pick between different effects for the check answer animation so that the learners will see a variety of effects and also I can adapt the effects to my target audience(I’ll be using pink unicorns which works really well for both my target audience which are 4 year old girls and venture capitalists)”
If the feature can be illustrated with images or videos it always helps
Make it clear what content types this is relevant for, and or if this is a new content type

I want to be able to ask

I want to be able to ask questions with multiple choice answers. The "personality" is dependent upon the number of "a" or "b" or "c" responses, each representing a point. And at that, it's not a personality per se but an explanation of their score. Is this possible using this quiz?

What I've done is given a personality based on each score range. Associating a personality with "a" then "b" then "c." But it's not assessing the proper personality type. X number of "a" answers equate to a score range. X number of "b" answers etc. I've given all "a" and "b" and "c" answers (taking the quiz three times) and get the same personality type.
