The video below shows how H5P content created on H5P.org may be embedded in Moodle:
Also note that H5P has a plugin for Moodle
Also see the attached pdf.
The video itself (without the interactivities) and pdf was created by Edward Bethel.

We are trying to find out how we can get the "embed function" available in our H5P plugIn in Moodle. Anyone who has a clue?
Thu, 08/25/2016 - 10:00
The embed functionality is not yet implementedin Moodle as far as I know. You would have to embed from a Wordpress or Drupal site.

Thanks for clearing out this matter,Thomas!
I certainly hope it will be available in Moodle one way or the other - soon. That would have been fantastic!

this questions relates to the one above. We're trying to import a h5p interactive video from one course into another, but h5p content doesn't show up in the schema settings (under include one can check activities/ resources, but h5p doesn't show up).
Our current workaround is to activate the download feature for the h5p activity we want to import somewhere else, then download the h5p file that now shows up on the left bottom of the interactive video, to then add a new h5p activity and upload the h5p file we downloaded previously under action. This is very time consuming and complicated if there are many h5p activities in one course.
Would be great if you could update the plugin to support the import feature! The professors at our university really like h5p, but when the new semester starts I see a lot of emails coming in asking about this...
Apart from that please keep up the great work! :-)

The backup and import functionality of the h5p plugin for Moodle is in progress. A lot of people from the Moodle community are wanting these features, so they are indeed a prioritized matter. You can follow the issues in the Moodle repository on github, issue #27 and #107. If you have any developer resources it is also possible to add to the issues with some collaboration.

Great, thank you!

Hello. I'd like to insert a h5p content in a static moodle page. So, the idea is to have some introductionary text written in moodle, and after that some of the h5p activitiy. I created some of the content in h5p site and pasted embed code in moodle static page. But, in that case h5p activity cannot be graded by moodle grading system.
Is there any idea or solution for this?
Fri, 02/10/2017 - 17:10
Yes - there is an h5p plugin for moodle. It's still evolving but I've tested it for a year and for the most part it works well.
Mon, 02/13/2017 - 09:27
Yes, checking out the moodle plugin for H5P is a good idea. It should be safe to use and a stable 1.0 release is just around the corner.
Thu, 04/06/2017 - 23:05
You write in august 2016: "The embed functionality is not yet implemented in Moodle as far as I know."
As far as I know is isn't yet implemented. Do you have any idea?
Fri, 04/07/2017 - 09:29
It is still not implemented, but many people have requested this feature, so it is definitely still on the roadmap of H5P. Hopefully it will be prioritized soon, or someone will create a pull request for it.
The best way to make sure that this feature gets implemented as fast as possible is to check if it is in the feature request list in the forum and show your support there or create a new feature request post for it.

Is there any way to see an database with the users responses in an interactive video? At least is there any kind of statistics generated with the users responses?
Fri, 04/21/2017 - 09:41
Hi pedriobairao, the user's overall score is stored in the Moodle gradebook (I assume you're asking about Moodle from you previous message), but the specific responses aren't. Each response is emitted as an xAPI event that you will have to handle yourself:
Try searching in the forum for Moodle + xAPI
Sat, 04/22/2017 - 01:56
Hi, yes I meant to talk about the Moodle! Thank you very much. I'm going to check the xAPI documentation. Do you know if there is any work done in this area that I can use? Thanks again!

Hi - should Moodle's glossary feature work with content created using the H5P resource ... eg. on a H5P presentation slide? It's working OK on natively authored Moodle content, but doesn't appear to work for content created with the H5P plugin. Anything I can do to get it working? Thanks
Wed, 07/12/2017 - 07:01
I don't think the glossary module is supported by H5P. Sorry.

Hi just wondering if there have been any advances re enabling the moodle h5p plugin to be embedded in Moodle.
Kind regards Aileen
Wed, 08/23/2017 - 09:18
I'm not completly sure what you mean by "re enabling".
If you are asking if work has been done to embed H5P content in different places in Moodle, that work is unfortionatly not started.
Fri, 11/03/2017 - 07:41
Is there a way for hae the h5p as a standard option when u drag and drop a video on to a moodle site? Can alter the display standard to h5p for videos already imported onto the site?
This would save many hours of work for us.
Fri, 11/03/2017 - 10:28
I totally agree. I suggest that you head over to the Feature Request forum to post your suggestion.

Thanks - have done this

Hello, I've downloaded an h5p file on my computer but when I want to upload it in the moodle pluggin, it doesn't work. Do you have any hint? Thanks for your help.
Mon, 11/20/2017 - 04:52
Can you please provide the version of Moodle and H5P installed in it? Are you getting any error messages? Can please check if you have any error logs in the browser cosole (Ctrl+Shift+J in Chrome).
Sat, 12/09/2017 - 10:46
Here are the messages I get:
in chrome: Slow network is detected. Fallback font will be used while loading: https://moodle.iesabroad.org/mod/hvp/editor/styles/css/fonts/h5p-hub.wof...
Make sure the uploaded H5P contains valid H5P content. H5P files containing only libraries should be uploaded through the H5P Libraries page.
Where can I see the moodle version ?
Thanks for your help
Tue, 12/12/2017 - 14:17
You can see the H5P plugin version by going to "site administration" -> "plugins" -> "plugin overview".
Do you have access to the server logs? There is likely to be important information in your php error log if you can get hold of that.
Unfortunately, we can't help you any further without more information. If you upgrade to the latest H5P plugin version you should get better error messages though.

first of all i would like to congratulate to your great solution.I came up here because i have some issue with embedding the contrent in Moodle.I find that using iframe is not the best solution particulary in mobile enviroment. My goel is to place a H5p content directly in a course section, without needing to click on the link and navigate to different page, showing there the task and make allow to solve it immediatly.I am looking for solution for this but different way than using iframe. How would be this possible?Thank you for your help
Wed, 01/10/2018 - 15:30
Hi,You should be able to embed H5P content directly within the course section by using a Moodle "label". If you have the latest H5P plugin installed on your site, you can get the embed code from the view of the H5P content you want to embed from the "embed" button in the H5P frame. You would then copy this link and then paste it within the "HTML" mode of the label on your course page.
Good luck, Thomas

thank you for your help.Yes i do the same as you describe.Make a h5p content and than click on embed link button copy the content. But thats a code for iframe placement. But as i wrote before i would like to place only the real content without any additional datas(full screen property helps a lot) but in my case in every case when i use iframed h5p content the background image is downloaded many times for example.
I dont know what would be the best show only the H5p content
Mon, 01/15/2018 - 09:53
I'm not sure what you mean, the real content is placed within the embed, without additional datas. Not sure why your background images is downloaded multiple times, there shouldn't be a problem caching them. Perhaps this is a header issue for the requests instead ? Are the images cached when viewing the content normally ? This only happens when the content is embedded ?
Mon, 01/15/2018 - 13:27
Hello, i have a Page div which consist the background-image css property for the front site. And when i use iframe the background image is download there too because it has the page div thats the reason.
Tue, 01/16/2018 - 12:56
You have a theme that adds a background-image, which gets loaded in both the Moodle page and the embed Do you have a live site where I can see this in action ?
