H5P is an open source project that aims to be community driven. At the moment, H5P Group, a company co-founded by the open source companies Amendor AS and Cerpus AS, is the driving force behind H5P. However, more and more developers have shown their interest in participating in the H5P project. Read more about the H5P project here.

To get really good rich content, the cost of producing such content must be reduced. And in order to do so, the content needs to become reusable. This is one of the main ideas behind H5P. H5P makes it easy for others to share their rich content with the rest of the world. It should be just as easy to translate and customize content that others have created.

You should get involved with H5P so that H5P becomes more powerful, offers better documentation, better content types, better content and more resources to the community.

Also, be active in the Forum and influence the direction of H5P!

Hello, I created an interactive video. it is working fine on desktop view but not mobile view. on a mobile screen, it shows video format not supported.

Brand new and have a few questions

Hello, I am brand new to H5P. I plan to create interactive digital courses and it appears that H5P is exactly what will help me make my courses more interesting. It also looks like it will help students learn and give it more of a professional look. I plan to use flashcards on several of my courses. My question now is, do I create the flashcards first and then upload to the program? Or do I use the program to create the flashcards? If I create the flashcards first, is there a recommended program to use? What about size for the cards themselves? I may have other questions once I get started using H5P but so far it looks great and I'm very excited about the possibilities. Oh, and another question: Is all of the material I create discoverable by anybody else on H5P or can it be private? Thank you, Successguy.

I'm not sure what you meant by "do I create the flashcards first and then upload to the program". Basically H5P has an editor which you use to create the content. For example if you are going to create a Flashcard, in the editor you upload the image, place the question and answer and other settings. Please note though that the H5P content types are not a photo or video editor so the most you can with images is to crop and rotate.

Ok. So, I think I understand. I would not create flash cards, per se, in another program such as Google Slides or MS Word or anything like that but instead I would have image files finalized and ready for upload to the H5P editor. I would then upload an image to use for the "flashcard" and then add a question, an answer, or other information I want to have available related to that "flashcard". Is this correct? If so, I would like to try this with a few trial flashcards. What would be the best or easiest way to start or try this out? There may be tutorials but if so, I have not found them yet. I'll look around to see if I can find some. Thank you!
