A free HTML5-based memory game content type allowing authors to add their own images (and optional text) to a memory game. To play the game, users search for image pairs, which will display a specified text message once a matching pair has been found. Memory games are created using only a web browser in publishing systems like Canvas, Brightspace, Blackboard, Moodle and WordPress.

Is not saving results
It seems that this example does not save any results. Only "started" time is saved to "h5p_points" -table.
Tried to fix but just adding H5P.setFinished(contentId, score, maxScore()); does not make it work.

We've got an issue on this and are planning to add it in a future version: https://github.com/h5p/h5p-memory-game/issues/2
Feel free to contribute on how you would like the score and max score to be calculated.

I love the memory game and I wonder if would be possible to add a feature whereby you could use two different items for each matching pair? For instance, if I was teaching colours, I would have a red strawberry and the word "red" on different tiles of the pair. Or, if I was teaching phrasal verbs, I might have "get" on one tile, and "over" on the other.

Would be a great addition
In math you could have a simple matching card game: 2^2= and then a matching card 4.
Btw perhaps add support for LaTeX syntax in description of two matching cards?
That would be awesome.
Thanks again for creating this plugin :-)

This sounds like a great idea! If you create an issue on GitHub, it will be easier for the developers to keep track of what people want. Feel free to comment on other ideas there as well :-)

I second that!
Matching different cards would make language drills ENDLESSLY more fun, so it would be greatly appreciated!

It should be possible to do this in the latest version, you just need to upload a second image for the same card.

how i can change size of images/cards? They are too small :(
Thu, 11/12/2015 - 12:25
I'm afraid you'll have to change those sizes in code. There are no setting for changing them. This page might be helpful:

Great stuff. It will be valuable, besides confiuring a text that appears when the 2 cards match, to also play an audio file. This will be useful for me to play the sound of the object matched if I am teaching a kid the names of things. Maybe also, the ability for the kid to replay the sound (either cick on a replay icon or click on the matched image directly).

Yes, good idea! I don't think

Playing sound when image is clicked
Request you to add a feature where we could play a sound file while opening a card. It will be very useful for vocabulary building exercise in a language class.

Hi Shilpa Mudur,Thanks a lot
Hi Shilpa Mudur,
Thanks a lot for contributing your ideas on how to make H5P better! We’re now working on something called the H5P supporter program allowing the H5P community to vote for and fund the top voted H5P features. Also there are developers in the community who every now and then works on a feature they find interesting or useful. In order for your feature request to attract as much interest as possible make sure it follows the below guidelines
It is clear from every perspective how the feature will work. We recommend describing the feature with one or more user stories, for instance “As an author I want it to be possible to pick between different effects for the check answer animation so that the learners will see a variety of effects and also I can adapt the effects to my target audience(I’ll be using pink unicorns which works really well for both my target audience which are 4 year old girls and venture capitalists)”
If the feature can be illustrated with images or videos it always helps
Make it clear what content types this is relevant for, and or if this is a new content type
Make sure you post the feature in the Feature Request forum.

change cards faced down image
Is there an option to change cards picture from question mark when it's faced down. I would like to create custom symbol for memory cards.
Wed, 03/30/2016 - 11:28
There is no option for changing the back-side of the card at the moment, but I really like the idea.
If you are a developer or have a developer then Frode, the author of the library, would probably accept a pull request for this :)
Have a nice day,

changes on memory game
Hello, I like the plugin, but I would like to make some changes on the result.
I would like to make the cards bigger (300px) also I would like to change the front image (the interrogation mark) to another image.
Please, how can I do these changes?
Thu, 08/25/2016 - 11:19
I have suggested two approaches:
- Create a pull request for the repository where you add the possibility to make cards larger and adding a front image by adding the necessary semantics for this, relevant: https://h5p.org/semantics
- Create a hook for altering the semantics: https://h5p.org/adding-text-editor-buttons, http://cgit.drupalcode.org/h5p/tree/h5p.api.php, https://h5p.org/wordpress-customization

Is there a way for students to match pictures with text/ pictures with a different picture? For example, a picture of a fingerprint on one card, and the type of print on the card I want them to match it with?

Hi! I really enjoy the tools, so thank you for developing these great solutions! I have a question though. I teach 2 students on-line at the same time. Is it possible that they play against each other? Are there other tools which work for multiple users? Thank you in advance!

Competitive content types
No, there aren't really any compeditive content types yet. But I think there is a lot of potential in that space.
Regarding other tools (with a competition aspect), have you tried Kahoot? It's pretty cool!

the js and css files in uploads path can't be loaded.
some file in "h5p/cachedassets" not loaded, such as:
my uploads path is on remote server, and the url prefix is "http://img."
but my site url begain with "https://www."
so the path like "https://img.mysite.com/wp-content/uploads" can't be loaded.
two types can be loaded:
now I have to look for where to set the path like those two types.
I edited the function "enqueue_assets" in "h5p\public\class-h5p-plugin.php", changed "$abs_url" to h5p cache path.
and now the game works.

Ah yes, that's it. The plugin hasn't really been tested with remote upload paths. I've created an issue for fixing it: HFP-988
Is there anything special one needs to do when setting up remote upload paths? Do you need a plugin for it?
Thanks for sharing your solution.

Can there be more than one level
I love h5p a lot because it added a new feel to the game section on my social networking site.... Is there a way where we can have more that one level, if someone plays the first game, can there be a next button to play another one....and the retry button doesn't show up
